CTTC has been training the next generation of teachers since 2003. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2024, we are a Department for Education-accredited provider working with over 100 placement schools across Colchester, Basildon, Ipswich, Southend, and beyond.

We offer flexible training routes into teaching – including full-time, part-time, Salaried, Apprenticeship and Assessment Only options – for both Primary and Secondary phases.

Temporary Pause on Applications for Selected Courses

Due to the continued high level of interest in our September 2026 teacher training programmes, we will be temporarily pausing new applications for a number of courses from Friday 8^th May.

The following areas will be affected:

• Primary
• Computing
• History
• Mathmatics
• Music
• PE

This decision has been taken to ensure we can maintain the high quality of training and support that all CTTC trainees receive.

We are continuing to accept applications for other Secondary subject areas, where places remain available.

If you are interested in any of the courses listed above, we would encourage you to submit your application before Friday 8^th May or keep an eye on our website for any future updates should places become available again.
